ANDX is developing powerful new tests for the detection and diagnosis of microbial diseases in agricultural animals.

Our first agricultural animal product, the ANDX MAP TEST, helps diagnose Johne’s Disease in dairy cattle using DNA-based detection techniques. The test is rapid and highly accurate, and is accredited by the USDA for performance in the National Johne’s Disease Control Program.
ANDX MAP - JOHNE’S DISEASE DIAGNOSTICS
Johne’s Disease is a chronic inflammatory intestinal condition that afflicts cattle and other ruminants and results in billion dollar losses to the dairy industry. The disease is caused by a bacterium, Mycobacterium avium subsp.paratuberculosis (Map). Traditional culture-based methods for the detection of Map are very slow, often taking
6 - 12 weeks before the results are available.

ANDX scientists have analyzed the complete genome sequence of Map, and developed the first genomics-enabled PCR test for the disease. The test is rapid and highly accurate, and is accredited by the USDA for performance in the National Johne’s
Disease Control Program.
